All research, clearance, and due diligence requests must be submitted through Service Now.
The physical USAID Library remains closed, but all electronic resources and librarian assistance remain available online.
The library is temporarily located in room B03.06H in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Staff are available to assist with knowledge and information services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Connect with the library by email at dataservicesrequest@usaid.gov.
The USAID Library is a part of USAID Data Services in M/CIO.
Boolean and phrase searching
To search by phrase and using Boolean limiters (AND, OR, NOT), it is recommended that you navigate to "Advanced Search" when possible. This allows the database to be searched more effectively, especially when information across multiple fields is needed.
For example, if searching for HIV/AIDS trial research conducted in Guatemala, an effective search string would be: "HIV" AND "trials" AND "Guatemala".
Additional filters and limiters can be applied to the search results as well, including by source type (journal, full text, peer reviewed), date (month and year) and language (English, French, Arabic, etc.).
