USAID’s HIV and AIDS program has been on the forefront of the global AIDS crisis for 30 years. Today, more than 36.7 million people are living with HIV worldwide. USAID is a key implementing partner under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the largest and most diverse HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment initiative in the world.
The USAID Library is proud to support the Office of HIV/AIDS by linking researchers to data collected by USAID team members and reports published by USAID staff.
The Development Data Library contains machine-readable data related to HIV/AIDS research. Datasets can be found by visiting the DDL and searching under Health, then HIV/AIDS.
The Development Experience Clearinghouse contains reports, research, and other publications related to HIV/AIDS.
The USAID Library provides a variety of materials to support agency staff and contractors in their work towards improving global health and eliminating the spread of HIV/AIDS. USAID staff and contractors may borrow items directly from the USAID Library. USAID mission staff may request items to be sent via pouch by emailing us at dataservicesrequest@usaid.gov.
Due to the ongoing closure of the COVID-19 shutdown and the lack of staffing available for the physical USAID Library, a greater emphasis is being placed on the availability of e-books and other electronic resources within the collection.
