USAID Library |
This guide is designed to provide a pathway for users to find information resources about big data and data visualization relevant to development issues. It also includes links to selected resources offering critiques of Big Data and addressing some of the challenges they pose. Big Data is a term for data sets that are so large that traditional data processing techniques are unable to handle them.
Please direct any questions or comments to dataservicesrequest@usaid.gov.
All research, clearance, and due diligence requests must be submitted through Service Now.
The physical USAID Library remains closed, but all electronic resources and librarian assistance remain available online.
The library is temporarily located in room B03.06H in the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Staff are available to assist with knowledge and information services Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Connect with the library by email at dataservicesrequest@usaid.gov.
The USAID Library is a part of USAID Data Services in M/CIO.
USAID's Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC), the largest online resource for USAID-funded technical and project materials, makes over 200,000 items available for review or download, and continuously grows with more than 1000 items added each month.
The DEC holds USAID's institutional memory, spanning over 50 years; including documents, images, video and audio materials. The DEC collects research reports, evaluations and assessments, contract information, tutorials, policy and planning documents, activity information sheets, and training materials.
Here are some selected resources from the DEC about data visualization.
